Understand how argo uses Zum Rails to securely link your bank account
At Argo, we make connecting your bank account safe, fast, and seamless. To ensure your financial data is protected, we partner with Zum Rail, a leading Open Banking and financial data provider in North America.
How bank account linking works
When you link your bank account to Argo, here’s what happens:
- Select Your Bank – Choose your financial institution from our supported list.
- Authenticate Securely – You’ll be redirected to your bank’s official login page (no credentials are shared with Argo).
- Zum Rails Establishes a Secure Connection – Using Open Banking APIs, Züm Rails retrieves your account details with your consent.
- Your Accounts Appear in Argo – Once verified, you will be able to deposit from or withdraw to your linked account securely.
Why Argo uses Züm Rails?
We chose Züm Rail because it offers:
- True Open Banking Compliance – Züm Rail uses direct API integrations with Canadian banks, avoiding screen scraping for better security.
- Instant, Reliable Connections – No waiting for micro-deposits—your account links in seconds.
- Bank-Level Security – Data is encrypted and never stored by Argo.
- Wide Bank Coverage – Supports all major North American banks and credit unions.
- Regulatory Trust – Complies with PIPEDA, SOC 2, and emerging Open Banking standards.
Is my data safe?
Absolutely. Züm Rail adheres to strict security practices:
- No credential storage – Your banking login is never saved.
- Read-only access – Argo can’t move money or change account settings.

What if my bank isn’t supported?
Züm Rails covers most major North American banks, but if yours isn’t listed or if you prefer not to use Zum Rails to link your bank account, you can still fund your account through alternative methods like wire transfer. Please contact our support team to discuss the options.
